The 10k event is an ideal introduction to trail running. The ½ marathon event is an ideal preparation for trail marathons and ultras this summer. (eg Trail Marathon Wales)
The walks follow the same routes as the runs but are for enjoyment not racing.
† The U15, U17 and U20 races are the Welsh Junior Trail Running Championships
* The ½ marathon is the West Wales Regional' Trail Running Championship
The route is a loop starting and finishing at the Red Kite Challenge headquarters at Woodlands Caravan Park.

These will follow the running route. Those doing the 10k will break off part way (as the 10k runners will do) while those doing the ½ marathon walk will continue along the full loop.
This was a recent addition in response to feedback from the running community. We wanted to provide the shorter option for people relatively new to running or new to running off road who wanted to make the step to 10k before doing the ½ marathon. This event, which follows much of the ½ marathon route, proved very successful.
This is a testing 13.1 miles starting at the caravan site meandering its way up to the Arch. On the way you will negotiate several steep hills in the forest and plenty of ups and downs on forest roads, tracks and trails. From the Arch you will push out onto a small loop which will incorporate moorland and more forest with expansive views before returning to the Arch for the predominantly downward section back to Devil's Bridge. Be warned - near the end there are some stiff 'ups' to test tired legs.
Both courses are well marshalled and sign posted
